for Young Adults Our
ministry to the teenagers at our church consists of a four-week
cycle. We meet each Wednesday evening.
Week 1 - Boys and Girls Bible Study During
weeks 1 and 3, we have a collective Bible study of boys and girls
together. During
week 2, we require the mothers to come with their daughters. This
time consists of a public reading of a book that covers topics relating
to Biblical Womanhood (like modesty, boys, goals, Titus 2, etc.,
...). After this, we split the group up into many parts so that
mothers and daughters might have a personal discussion about the
matters brought up in the reading. During week 4, we require the fathers to come with their sons. Our format is simple. We read portions of a book out loud together, perhaps followed by a brief discussion. Then, we split up so that the fathers are able to discuss these things with their sons on a more personal level. |
