Rock Valley Bible Church is a
non-denominational church, which was planted from Kishwaukee Bible Church
in DeKalb, Illinois, which was planted by Grace Church of DuPage in
Warrenville, Illinois.
We are a Christ-Centered church. This means that we intentionally turn our gaze upon Jesus Christ in our worship and in our preaching and in our lives. The hope of the gospel is everything to us, that God, who knew no sin became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). We love the doctrines of grace, which are at the heart of the gospel. God has redeemed us and saved us by His grace, not of our works. We claim nothing of ourselves. All praise and glory goes to Him (Ephesians 2:8-9). We believe that God's word is completely sufficient for life, can be trusted literally from Genesis to Revelation, and is our definitive authority. The focus of our Sunday morning gathering is the verse by verse exposition of Scripture. We are a young church, filled with many young families, with lots of children (nearly half of our congregation). Currently, our church is being led by the following men: Steve Brandon (pastor/elder). Click here for a bio. Lance Milton (deacon). Click here for a bio. In the current absence of a plurality of elders, we have a temporary leadership team (Darryn Wiebe, Phil Guske, and Ray Hook). These men are in training for official elder and deacon leadership. |
